The Royal Hibernian Academy annual summer show is now open in Dublin with many of Irelands leading exhibiting here.
There is plenty to see here from Painting and sculpture to Photography and a chance for those who are thinking of beginning a collection to dip their toe in the water. Collecting art need not cost the earth and print is perhaps a good place to start as it remains quite affordable. A good piece of advice here is first and foremost to buy what you like. Most of the vetting has already been done by the selection committee so you can be sure that the works that are on show are good quality. If one piece can be acquired a year or even every couple of years the it really doesn't take long to start building up a collection.
