We offer a range of select frame finishes from stains and lacquers to polishes and hand gilded frames. Our finishes are bespoke and as such can be applied to any of the many raw wood profiles we offer.

Natural Wood Frames

We offer a wide range of natural woods which we mill here at our workshop to any size and shape. Natural woods have a timeless beauty and often get nicer with age. We add wax or clear polish and lacquers to bring out the natural tone of the wood as well as sealing it to protect it.

Stains and Polishes

Adding a stain to a frame can really make a difference to the look and feel of a framed piece of work. Adjusting the tone to get just the right shade to compliment the work is key. A selection of waxes polises or lacquers can then be used to seal the finished frame.

Hand Gilded Frames

We finish our own frames in house so that we are able to offer a wide choice of colours and finishes to best suit the artwork we are framing. The sheen level required is also applied to suit fom matt to high  gloss.

We offer a range of gilded finished in shades of Gold, silver and palliadian leaf. Our frames are finished with gesso and bole in the traditional Italian way. Once applied the gold is toned to the required finish and finally sealed to protect it.
